Today, many areas, including education, require a more practical approach than before. In this regard, in the field of education, it is time for practical application of theoretical knowledge. Despite the difficulties of a material or moral nature (finances, age, health status, etc.), a lot of our colleagues actively acquire programs that improve business and the content of education. Research institute named after A. A. Avloni, located in Tashkent, constantly offers various courses, some of them are based on cooperation with foreign universities.
At the moment, 25 public school principals from various regions of our country are studying at the offline courses of the Avloni Institute with professors from the University of North Georgia, USA. Among them is Matlyuba Ruvazhiddinovna (a Principal of the school “IZB”). She is a person who is always open to new knowledge and never gets tired of self-development.
The training program focuses on the development of leadership skills and STEAM technologies. Together with the teachers, the course participants gain practical skills and get acquainted with the experience of advanced schools.
The students of the Avloni courses were able to see good development of STEAM technologies and the demonstration of their practical application at Genara Mitkhatovna’s «Sekhriyo» NEO. The school’s laboratories are specially equipped and decorated for STEAM. The students not only showed, but also were able to freely talk in English about their achievements in robotics and about experiments in physics, chemistry, and technology lessons.
Many creative art circles, educational programs and projects help children to discover their potential. At the end of the meeting, the participants were given certificates of familiarization with the work of the school, which undoubtedly caused great motivation and respect for the private sector.
it is also noteworthy that there are also good initiatives in the public sector. School No. 158 of the Mirabad district of Tashkent, under the leadership of Tatyana Aleksandrovna Gribanova, is the basic school of many projects of the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan such as Kundalik and Global Money Week. The school has successfully passed the PISA and PIRLS tests and actively cooperates with the Korea Center and the University of Singapore.
Within the framework of the training program, the participants also visited IDUM No. 5 of the Parkent district of the Tashkent region, where the enthusiast Muattar Yekubova works as the director.
The participants were particularly interested in visiting the unique Institute of the Sun (Institute of Materials Science “Physics-Sun” of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan), which is located in the foothills of the Tien Shan in the Parkent district. The Institute was founded by Academician Sadyk Azimov. There are only two such powerful structures in the world: here and in France. It is worth noting that this object, unlike the French one, is considered secret, and therefore excursions to it are unique, and only lucky people can get to them.
The Institute has a unique scientific facility — a Large Solar Furnace. On its plates, at a certain angle, a kettle boils in 10 minutes and you can start a fire in a minute.
The station can condense half of the total energy flow emitted in a year and use it for the desired purposes. In this area, the number of sunny days reaches up to 280 per year. It turns out that the Sun is not really what we always draw and imagine it to be. It is flattened, and the circle around it is formed by its bright rays.
Higher, in the Kumyshkan Mountains, in picturesque places, there is the Hazrat Ali Mosque. For more than a thousand years, the Hazrat Ali Mosque has remained the center of Islamic culture in Uzbekistan. Central Asian architecture, unique traditional patterns and ornaments give a special mood. This place with springs and plane trees is considered holy. Hundreds and even thousands of people flock here every day from all over Uzbekistan and from neighboring republics to perform zierat (a traditional pilgrimage to sacred places). Pilgrims are convinced that the springs bring rejuvenation to those who bathe in their water.
All these excursions to the sights of our republic and visits to various educational institutions were carried out within the framework of training at the Institute named after A.Avloni.
