The purpose of the competition Garden of Poetry, which is held in Tashkent, is to promote the reading of the works of Uzbek literature among pupils of schools with the Russian language of instruction. The competition that is organized by the private school Erudit (Erudit Education School) is open to all members of the Association of Non-governmental Educational Institutions of Uzbekistan. The jury consists of well-known cultural figures, writers, scientists, experts in Uzbek literature.
Grade 2-11 pupils can participate in the qualifying round, which is held at the school. Contestants can read works of both classics of Uzbek literature and modern Uzbek poets.
Mukhammadzhonova Oyshakhon (grade 3), Kozhevnikov Svyatoslav (Grade 3), Odiljonova Eazoza (Grade 5), Murodova Yulduz (Grade 6), Makhmudova Khilola (Grade 8), Alohuzhaev Afzal (Grade 8) participated on behalf of the school in 2019.
In 2020, all the participants representing our school became prize-winners and their efforts were acknowledged by the jury. They are Abdullaeva Zilola (Grade 3) – 1st place, Sheraliev Abdullokh (Grade 4) – 2nd place, Murodova Yulduz (Grade 7) – 2nd place, Khoshimjonova Mokhlaroyim (Grade 8) – 3rd place.
This competition fosters respect for national culture, national heritage, increases interest, and instills a love for Uzbek literature.
